2023英國移地教學–學生分享

第一組 黃翊淳/陳俞妡/朱唯甄

This is our recorded video about the study program at Northumbria University in 2023. We will introduce impressive courses and cities. The first is a cultural debate about science and art, where we draw down their images and discuss the similarities. The second is York City, where we visited several historic buildings and the famous shop selling ghosts called The York Ghost Merchants. The third is bookbinding; we created our own romantic notebook and obtained knowledge in class. The fourth is Beamish Museum, a historic county with miners. The final destination is London, where we visited lots of well-known landmarks like Big Ben. This is our memorable journey.

The video presented by the second group is regarding our thoughts and experiences joining the program of learning away from home in the UK. Through participating in various enriching courses and activities, as well as visiting representative tourist attractions, we gained insights into British culture, historic architecture, and the beauty of the humanities. What we obtained was not just diverse knowledge, but more importantly, a colorful and irreplaceable recollections of our lives. From the initial cultural shock and longing to the eventual cultural fusion, it allowed us to broaden our horizons fully and appreciate the vastness of the UK, leaving us with endless memories as well.

The video shows what we have done during our UK tour. We took 19 different courses which are mostly about culture, linguistics, and psychology, and each of them was very interesting, but also pretty challenging. During class time, we had plenty of time to share our thoughts and opinions with the class. Aside from taking courses, we went on outings to different cities every weekend. First week we went to Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. There is a sea in both places and the water there is super clean. In the following weeks, we went to York, Durham, Edinburgh, and London respectively. We visited many well-known attractions and churches in these cities for instance we went to Diagon Alley in York, the Beamish Museum in Durham, many famous streets in the Old Town in Edinburgh, and lastly the British Museum, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, etc. in London. Every city has its unique style of buildings, and we really enjoy all of them. This is really an invaluable and unforgettable experience for all of us.

We are Group 4, and this video captures the moments of our life in Newcastle, United Kingdom, during our study abroad. From the moment we arrived and moved into the dorms, everything was so new and exciting. Aside from attending classes, we also explored many different cities, some large and some small, each with its own unique cultural charm. The only thing they all had in common was their rich history. Although the clips we have in our daily lives may seem fragmented, we decide to use many photos to piece together these memories.

Hello everyone, this is a video of our participation in the intensive Academic English program at Northumbria University. The video includes our class at the University of Northumbria, such as Women and Bookbinding in the Romantic Period and Object Exercises in Creative Writing, etc. There were many courses that were very interesting. In addition to the rich course, we explored every street, visited local stores for shopping, watched movies, had delicious food, and enjoyed drinks together. Moreover, we visited the Beamish Museum, followed the Durham miners' parade, visited the cathedral cloister, and appreciated the stunning view. We went to different cities and attractions. We tried many famous foods and bought souvenirs of the places we went to. And we watched many shows of the local street artists. We have many precious and unforgettable memories.
